Rosetta is an independent coffee shop with a strong in-store atmosphere, but their digital presence didn’t reflect the same level of quality or care. The goal of this project was to bridge that gap — transforming their website into an experience that matches the brand’s warmth, craft, and personality.

Before

The original website lacked clarity, structure, and visual appeal, which created friction for users and limited engagement.

Key issues included:

  • Outdated, inconsistent design that didn’t reflect the café’s aesthetic

  • Poor visual hierarchy, making it difficult to navigate

  • Lack of strong branding or personality

  • Minimal focus on conversion (menu visibility, location, call-to-actions)

  • Not optimised for mobile, despite most users browsing on phones

Overall, the site felt disconnected from the actual in-store experience — which was a major missed opportunity.

Approach

The redesign focused on translating Rosetta’s real-world atmosphere into a digital experience while improving usability and conversions.

I prioritised:

  • Clean, modern layout with strong visual hierarchy

  • Brand storytelling to capture the café’s identity

  • Mobile-first design for accessibility and ease of use

  • Clear user journeys (View Menu, Visit, Order, Contact)


After

The new website delivers a cohesive and engaging experience that reflects the quality of the brand.

Improvements include:

  • Elevated visual identity with refined typography and warm, inviting tones

  • Stronger structure and navigation, making information easy to find

  • High-quality imagery to showcase the café environment and products

  • Clear CTAs guiding users to key actions like viewing the menu or visiting

  • Responsive design, ensuring a seamless experience across all devices

The redesign transforms the site from purely informational into an experience that draws users in and encourages real-world visits.
